My name is Julie McManus and this will be my first year at Trinity First! I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stout in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduation, I moved overseas to Kenya, Africa where I worked as a missionary based in Nairobi. While living abroad I had the privilege to join a few Medical Mission teams, do some church visits, and work with at-risk youth at a rescue center. I lived in Kenya for two years before moving back to Minnesota and teaching at Mount Hope in Bloomington for a year at the Pre-Kindergarten level. But, I am happy to call TFL home now!
I am very excited to learn all about my class and the families they come from. I love learning about different cultures and traditions, but also being able to share God's love with those around me. I look forward to teaching my class about how amazing God is and the world He created for us. I want every student in my room to know that God loves them and for us to show that love to each other on a daily basis. I find it very important to teach children about God and to be an example in our day-to-day lives.
We will work together this year to create a fun and enjoyable classroom environment where we can all learn and grow in many ways. Pray for the first grade class, that we may challenge ourselves daily and learn all that we can.
