I am Nicole Lay. I am the Title 1 teacher (since 2014). As the Title 1 teacher I have the opportunity to work with small groups and individual students to help boost their skills in reading and in math. Each student I work with has an individual plan with their own objectives of skills they need to develop. I get to help those students progress in those skills and help them become better confident students.
I have been working at Trinity First in a variety of roles since 2006. Some of these roles include 3rd and 4th grade teacher, Tiger Club Director, Kindergarten Assistant Teacher, substitute teacher, and 6th-8th grade math teacher.
I graduated in 2007 from Concordia University, St. Paul, as a Lutheran Classroom Teacher. In 2009, I received my Certification as a Director of Christian Education (DCE). I interned and worked as a church Youth Director for a little over a year.
I got married to Brandon Lay in 2011. In 2013, we had our daughter Madelyn (now attending TFL). In 2015, we had our daughter Victoria. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part-time teacher and part-time stay-at-home mom.
